The Creative Spirit is a yacht home with furnished luxuries . Renting this unique property is an amazing value in that for less than the price of a luxury San Francisco hotel room (that is often also smallish,) you are getting a 3 stateroom, 2 salon, 3 level yacht, over a 2000 sq foot lay out. The yacht home is in a natural, private and romantic setting. with a fully equipped kitchen, large outside decks and a state-of- the-art entertainment TV and sound system . And, we know of no hotel with anything close to the incomparable 360 degree views and natural environment that you will find floating at our dock.

The yacht is docked in one of the best weather areas in all of San Francisco --- a narrow micro climate “Rivera” sunbelt in Sausalito. If you have been to the south of France or Europe, you will know why its called the "Rivera of San Francisco" when you look out the yacht's windows for the first time, you will see breathtaking 360 degree bay views and views of the surrounding multi-million dollar estates. (180 degrees of views are completely open and unobstructed across the full SF bay because we are the last yacht on a modern, safe well lit dock.) This large yacht is a uniquely healing and artful environment away from the stressful road noises of SF. In addition to unbelievable natural surrounding there is quite a literary history in the area within several hundred yards of the yacht. Aldous Huxley the author of 1984 and Brave New World died nearby in his wife’s arms . Also two additional curiosities are; Carl Jung the world-renowned psychologist wrote a substantial part of the famous book, Man and His Symbols' here. The Beat Poet Allen Ginsberg had his famous floating pyramidal home just a stone throw away. Some very interesting people over the years have discovered the Rivera like charm and lived in Sausalito to just name a few.

Our yacht marina is modern with a beautiful park directly in front of it and tennis courts off to the side. Around the yacht or on the dock itself depending upon the season you may see seals, black pelicans, giant blue herons, cormorants, night herons, sea gulls, ducks of all kinds, loons and dozens of other kinds of migratory and native sea birds. To be surrounded by this spectacular natural beauty and yet be just minutes away from the heart of one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world is just one of the many things that makes this property a phenomenal value for the traveler or business person seeking a special San Francisco experience. It is great base for any SF visit no matter if this is your once-in-a-lifetime vacation or, you are a regular business visitor who wants the extra features that only this one-of-a-kind rental property can offer. It is also ideal for unforgetable personal or business meetings, events or entertaining during your visit to SF Bay area and stay on the yacht.


The yacht is a 5 minute walk to the city bus system and a 15 minute walk to the famous San Francisco bay ferries, which also can take you to the city or the beautiful bay islands. The yacht is docked in the city of Sausalito one of the most tourist visited attractions in the SF bay area. There are first class restaurants and stores in walking distance from the dock.

Experiencing the spectacular bay sunsets and sunrises, tidal rhythms, the many birds and seals that regularly frequent the area near the 62 foot yacht as well as the smell of the ocean only adds to the romance of this memory-for-a-lifetime experience.

Even if you have never stayed on a large yacht before, it is easy. In many ways it is much like staying at a land-based home. The yacht’s experienced chief steward not only checks you in and out, but also explains everything that you will need to know for your visit. They are also available during your stay by phone to answer questions about the yacht’s visit-related features, the local culture and attractions or, fix any rare problems should they come up.

21 in Flat Screen Cable/Satellite HDTV in Master Stateroom, with surround sound, one DVD player, 5 disk CD Player, premium stereo audio receiver (with IPod input,) powering 14 premium speakers throughout yacht, XM Satellite Radio, VCR, Tape Deck.

THE KITCHEN IS WELL EQUIPPED WITH:
Cuisinart Food processor, Cuisinart coffee bean grinder, Braun Coffee Maker, Bialetti Machiatta cappuccino espresso maker, Krupps Toaster/Oven, Calphalon Pans, pots and knives, Wine, Champagne and other glasses, Plates, silverware and entertainment serving trays for groups up to six.

This rental property is ideal for romantic couples, business travelers, families with teenagers, families with adult children, family reunions (up to 6,) but not families with children under 10! The yacht is the most comfortable with non smoking groups of 6 or less. We have found that national, international or corporate travelers who are seeking a high quality, highly unique San Francisco experience enjoy our rental the most! We are absolutely the ideal San Francisco rental match for those individuals who also put a premium on natural beauty, great location, environmental sustainability and the special healing peacefulness that a facility that is regularly used for spiritual retreats supports.

YACHT AREA AND SECURITY The yacht is well lighted at night at the end of a lighted dock walkway. We are located in an upscale area generally considered safe. (There is a short Chamber of Commerce video on the top left of http://www.sausalito.org/ . Check it out to get a feel for the area as well.) The marina owners have a mobile security service that randomly patrols their buildings and the parking areas. There is a lot of dawn to dusk walking activity on the docks because of the sailing school presence. The yacht itself is well secured with modern locks and an internal security system that we do not disclose in detail until you check in. Other yacht owners in the marina also watch the marina areas and parking lots for unusual activity as is the custom in marine communities. We are well known in the marina and other individuals who live or work in the marina would be likely to notice anything unusual occurring on our yacht. Although the area is considered safe by us we like any other renter cannot guarantee absolute safety. You will need to use the same safety discrimination that you use everyday.

YACHT PHONE: At no charge you may use the yacht phone for local outgoing calls only. A calling card is required to make any long distance calls.

PARKING: Parking is located in a large well illuminated lot about 30 yards from the end of the dock. The marina owners have a random security patrol car for their building that also uses this parking lot. There is also well illuminated off street free parking. If you park other than in the private parking area that we designate for you, your car might be towed by other private parking lots or the city! We have to date never had any car theft or car vandalism problems and consider this a very safe area. (The chief steward will show you where to park at check in and it is described in the email instructions on how to get to the yacht once you have arrived in San Francisco.)

MAID SERVICE: While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, our daily maid service is not included in the rental rate however, it is available at an additional rate. There are extra linens and towels if needed. Rentals that run longer than one week have a weekly maid service that comes in at time that is convenient to both them and to the service. (There is an additional charge for the mandatory multi-week visit cleaning service.)
