Corporate Housing by Owner Commits to Raise Additional Funds for Clinica Verde in February
February 7, 2012 (Denver, Colorado) - Giving back to the world and helping others in need is at the heart of what we do, says CorporateHousingbyOwner.com CEO and founder, Kimberly Smith. To demonstrate that she means business, Smith has dedicated a portion of her company's February proceeds to Clinica Verde, a global prototype of an environmentally sustainable health clinic and community center in Nicaragua for women and children living in poverty.
As part of the company's commitment to helping others, Corporate Housing by Owner has again committed to donating $1 for every transaction made during the month of February to Clinica Verde. This giving program is part of the company's ongoing "CHBO Gives Back" campaign.
"We believe progress is made one step at a time and even at $1 at a time. Partnering with Clinica Verde complements our mission to support global progress," says Smith. "We are asking that our members help us not only spread the word about this organization but also help us actively raise funds."
Smith says that individuals can donate directly online at Clinica Verde as well as passively help raise funds simply by signing up to become a CHBO Member, renewing a current CHBO membership, or purchasing an upgrade from the CHBO website during the month of February. For every transaction made through CHBO, the company will donate $1 to Clinica Verde.
Smith traveled to Nicaragua in January to see Clinica Verde first-hand and talk with the people to better understand how it supports individuals and its community at large.
"I came back empowered by what I experienced and saw. Clincia Verde is an example of how one idea can be nurtured and shared to gather and inspire global support. Clinica Verde is truly helping human beings of the world get the healthcare they deserve. My hope is that not only will we raise funds for Clinica Verde, but also that our efforts will serve to raise awareness and grow the grass roots support that will continue to make this organization thrive," Smith says.
