Reiley Retreat is your home away from home, perched above the banks of the Guadalupe River. This bright, updated duplex offers comforts of home with a surplus of amenities, a great location to explore Central Texas, and Guadalupe River access. Fire pit & hammocks included. Our Lake Placid recently turned back into the Guadalupe River after a spill gate failure on the dam in October 2021. We now have a great spot for fishing, wading, and lounging with your toes in the water. Please read photo captions as a few depict previous water level. This rental is an absolutely nice, peaceful place to spend the weekend or a long term stay. It is a little piece of "Heaven". My wife and I have been living there for 1 year. We have really enjoyed it. It is so comfortable, as everything you need is supplied. Sitting on the back deck in the evenings and overlooking the lake is very relaxing. Occasionally, you can get a wonderful "lighting bug" (firefly) show. Three ducks come and visit daily and love treats. The area is very quiet and safe. Laura and Ryan has put a lot of love into this rental and we really enjoyed the stay. However, we have to leave now and hope many others will enjoy their stay, as we have. It is very close to attractions such as stores, movies and bowling.
