Once the landlord completes their inspection and provides approval, CHBO will initiate your refund. We will notify you via text or email as soon as the transaction is completed so you can confirm receipt of the funds.How will I receive my refund?
Refunds are automatically issued back to your original payment method:
- Credit Card: Processed back to the card used for the initial payment.
- ACH/Autopay: Refunded directly to the bank account on file.
It may be necessary to send a check for your refund. If so, we will confirm your address before processing
What happens if there are damages?
The landlord will conduct a final inspection to check for damages. If any are found, the landlord will provide official invoices to CHBO. CHBO will then apply those costs against your security deposit before returning the remaining balance.Can I be present for the inspection?
Yes. You have the option of doing a final inspection with the property owner; however, this must be arranged before your move-out. We highly recommend scheduling this walkthrough to ensure both parties are on the same page regarding the property’s condition.How should I prepare to vacate?
To help you get the property ready for inspection and avoid potential damage charges, you will receive a move-out letter three days before your departure. This will include specific instructions and a checklist for vacating.
