I am a MA physician who fell in love with the Big Island 25 years ago. The house is my personal retirement property. It has everything I have ever dreamed of. Tranquility is paramount as are the breath-taking views from 800 feet up the mountainside. Planes and helicopters come and go from KOA and their silhouettes against the Pacific Ocean especially at dusk are indescribable. Photos of the sunsets don’t begin to capture the regal glory of Nature. The neighborhood is immensely friendly and quiet. I own the adjacent lot, so there are no obstructions from the lanai. My beloved koi pond is professionally maintained and will mesmerize you. I could have retired anywhere on the Big Island, and I am so happy I have landed at Hale Maikai-Kane.
