If the property is in the CHBO Rental Program
For Rental Program listings, CHBO handles all rental payments throughout the reservation, including:

Monthly rent

Taxes (if applicable)
-
Cleaning fees
-
Deposits
-
Extensions
If a card or bank account is on file, CHBO may auto-charge recurring rent according to the agreed payment schedule.
You will always receive receipts and documentation through your CHBO account.
If the property is NOT in the CHBO Rental Program
No.
CHBO does not process rent payments for standard listings.
In these cases:

All payments are made directly to the property owner or manager

CHBO will not charge your card

Payment types and instructions vary by owner

Accepted payment methods can be found on the property’s Rates tab
How do I know which payment methods the owner accepts?
Each property owner sets their own acceptable payment methods. These may include:

Other digital payment options (varies by owner)
You can find the accepted payment types for each property by visiting the property listing and checking the Rates tab.
Is there a difference between paying by credit card vs. paying by check?
Yes — depending on the owner:

Some owners may charge a processing fee for credit card payments.

Paying by check or ACH may avoid extra fees.

The owner or manager determines which forms of payment they accept and whether any fees apply.
Be sure to confirm payment details directly with the property owner.
Can CHBO tell me which payment option is best?
CHBO cannot recommend a specific payment method, because payment arrangements are owner-managed. For the most accurate information, contact the owner or manager listed on the property page.

All payment details—including due dates, deposit amounts, accepted payment types, and any fees—are provided:
