September 1, 2011 (Denver, Colorado) – Corporatehousingbyowner.com, a website connecting thousands of individual property owners offering short-term furnished and unfurnished rentals with potential renters across north America, today kicks off its "CHBO gives back" campaign. For every new customer or renewal made in the month of September, CHBO will donate $1 to Clinica Verde.
Clinica verde is an environmentally sustainable, not-for-profit health clinic for women and children living in poverty in Nicaragua. Founded in 2007, clinica verde has the vision of creating a global prototype for an environmentally sustainable health clinic for women and children living in poverty.
CHBO’s CEO, Kimberly Smith, believes in clinica verde’s mission and smart business model. Smith says she believes the clinic showcases social entrepreneurialism at its best and that’s why CHBO is joining forces to raise awareness and funds for the clinic.
“CHBO is honored to be sharing in clinica verde’s mission and practical application of health and wellness. While CHBO focuses on finding solutions for property owners and renters, we are also aware housing is just one of many struggles people around the world face. CHBO believes there are solutions we can all support that will result in the improved health, wellness and prosperity around the world. Our ‘giving back’ program is a way to show we care about our community and the world at large. Through understanding, support and connectivity we can make a more peaceful and prosperous world,” she says.
Susan dix lyons, the founder for clinica verde, says she is grateful for the contributions of U.S.. companies like CHBO. Further, she says she hopes that CHBO’s action will inspire others to take action and support clinica verde’s vision to provide a holistic model of healthcare for women and children living in poverty.
“Clinica verde depends on contributions from companies and individuals from around the world. We hope that others will join us in our mission to offer clinical care, nutrition education and support in a whole health environment to families in need,” adds dix lyons.
How CHBO customers can help
CHBO customers can simply renew their existing property listings or register new property listings during the month of September and CHBO will automatically make a $1 donation to Clinica Verde for each transaction. Also, customers can help spread the word about the “CHBO gives back” promotion by sharing CHBO with friends and family – which can easily be done through social media. Further, CHBO customers can make a direct donation to clinica verde by clicking on the “donate now” button at clinicaverde.org.
"We believe that even small donations can lead to big changes and everyone has the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of hundreds – even thousands – of impoverished women living in Nicaragua," adds Smith.

About corporate housing by owner (CHBO)
CHBO was founded in 2006 out of a need to connect private homeowners and real estate investors offering furnished, short-term rentals with corporate housing seekers such as traveling executives, relocated professionals, traveling nurses, actors, athletes and more. The company gives individual homeowners and investors tools to manage a corporate housing property themselves as well as helps them market their property to a mass audience turning to corporate housing to fulfill their housing needs.
