Patricia's home is lovely and the work that she and her partner did with the downstairs space is outstanding. I stayed for an entire month with my wife and baby and it was the perfect short term stay for our arrival in Portland.
Close to downtown, but in a relaxed, residential neighborhood, the location was ideal for us - especially as I was commuting south on I-5 to my new job. I highly recommend the space for singles and couples. With a baby, we were fine, but it is probably too small for families of larger size. We loved the attention to detail - there wasn't an amenity we were lacking, and instead, felt like we had everything we needed - for more than a month! There is no door between bedroom and the main living space - but not a problem for us. The dishwasher, keurig, fireplace, wifi, and tv all were conveniences we made full use of. Parking was not a problem.
We had our privacy and felt at home in the neighborhood. There is a hiking trail at the nearby park which was lovely and was a great Saturday morning getaway for us. It was the perfect hike actually - right in the city (five minutes walk from the house), but it felt like we'd driven a distance to escape to the outdoors.
Fred Meyers, Chase, Starbucks, are all right there. To get to downtown Portland requires a car, or the patience to take the bus (though still easy!)...we found the location well suited for jaunts to Sellwood.
In short, highly recommended! Patricia was a pleasure to exchange with and I wish them the best with this website and their hosting in general.

My partner and I had the great fortune of finding this rare gem of a spot for my first experience of Portland. First and foremost, your hosts are genuinely interested in ensuring you enjoy your stay. They truly care (coming from the northeast coast, I was frankly unprepared for the kindness and generosity). That said, we couldn’t have been happier with the accommodations. The living room area was spacious, the fireplace was delightful, the kitchen very well appointed (I love to cook and wanted for nothing). The bedroom is quiet and peaceful. There was sunshine in the mornings, and when we felt like it, we took a meal or some work to the outdoor seating area, nestled under giant trees. The icing on the cake (for me) was the proximity to short nature hikes, the Hillsdale Farmers Market, a Fred Myers, Starbucks, Baja Fresh. With so much within walking distance, the location was a great bonus for us.
