Welcome to our safe, elegant, and quiet condominium with a 23rd-floor, panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean and sweeping Manoa Valley mountains. The property is managed by its owners, both of whom are Hawaii locals. Built in 2005, the Lanikea, at 421 Olohana Street, is one of the newest, residential buildings in Waikiki. With only 4 condos per floor, and with a prohibition against short-term vacation rentals, there is a high sense of privacy and community. The luxury property is in the upscale section of Waikiki, just one block away from the Ritz-Carlton. With fewer crowds and less commotion, access to the Lanikea is efficient and stress-free. A short walk will bring you to the ocean’s edge—the renowned Waikiki Beach.

The Condo …

Our 23rd Floor corner unit, nicknamed “100 Smiles,” is almost-untouched, fully furnished, and large (1,100 sq. ft.). The two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo is decorated with comfort in mind. Furnishings are new and very high quality. The condo comes with central AC, ceiling fans, and a covered, ocean-view balcony. The unit is equipped with other modern features, too, including a washer and dryer, two TVs with cable, internet, insulated windows and walls, a comprehensive collection of kitchen supplies, stainless-steel appliances, and granite countertops. Two sets of linens, towels, and bathrobes are provided, as are cleaning supplies and other maintenance equipment.

100 Smiles sits on the Lanikea’s southeast corner, providing cross-breeze ventilation and views in every direction. You can enjoy sunsets and Friday evening fireworks from the balcony and relax in the spacious, serene heated pool and whirlpool. Follow that with a BBQ in a landscaped gathering adjacent to the swimming area. Foot traffic is light and noise at a minimum.

The Lanikea is also secured and enclosed, with a 24-hour, touch-free entrance; helpful security and lobby staff; and an in-building residential parking garage, along with designated exterior guest-parking stalls.

Finally …

At 100 Smiles, you will enjoy a reprieve from the hustle and bustle—a peaceful sanctuary from the liveliness of Waikiki’s hub. If you wish to explore the broader neighborhood, however, you are minutes away. The Honolulu Zoo, Aquarium, and International Market Place (which offers free Polynesian entertainment) are all nearby. You’re also just a couple blocks from the beach, where you can swim, surf, stand-up paddleboard, and go on an outrigger-canoe ride. A few miles northwest lies Ala Moana Shopping Center (which boasts more than 350 stores and restaurants), trendy Ward Village, and Kaka?ako (a hip area known for its foodie scene). If you choose to forego a rental car, TheBus—Honolulu’s public transportation—stops one block from the Lanikea. Alternatively, the Hui Car Share service is located a five-minute walk west of the building.

- Continue using internal cleaning service with explicit standards and cleaning checklists.
- Introductory soap, hand sanitizer, cleaning supplies, single-use masks and gloves.
- Unit supplied with basic cleaning tools.
- Contactless checkin (lockbox) if preferred.
- Avoid back to back reservations if possible
