I stayed at the Annex for more than two years while working on a project at Chevron. The cottage was clean and nicely decorated and came with a full size fridge and range/microwave adequate for everyday living needs. The television is “not smart”, but with the use of the cottage wi-fi, subscription(s) can be accessed (Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.). Off street parking is included in the rental fee. Point Richmond is a quaint town and most of your daily needs are walkable. The location is convenient and I always felt safe in my surroundings. The cottage is in a quiet historic neighborhood with two small markets, pharmacy, post office, library and shops. A short walk up the street is a waterfront park complete with a mile-long walking loop around a pond and great views of the bridges, Oakland, and SF. There are also a couple miles of hiking trails in the hills nearby. To summarize: The Annex Cottage is perfect for a stay in the bay area, everything you need is either there or easily accessible. I highly recommend and would definitely stay again. I consider Off Street Parking, Washer and Dryer in the Unit and Wi-Fi a plus for this property.

I'm so glad to know what was positive about your very long stay. Much of what you said is why I live in Point Richmond. I'd enjoy having you stay again, too.

Have stayed here many times and it feels like a second home. The setup is perfect for 1 person with plenty of room to get organized and put things away. The owner thinks of everything from fresh flowers upon arrival to freshly ground coffee. I love the location. I have it booked for 2 more months in the fall. I hope to be a regular for some time.

Thank you for your review. Do you realize this is the third year you've stayed at The Annex Accommodations? You first came in 2013! I, too, hope you'll be a regular for some time. I always look forward to your arrival--and the fact that we can discuss new ideas for the cottage and any problems. The fall will come quicker than we can imagine.

Who would have thought that a 550 square foot house would be soooo perfect! It was our home for 2 months and from the terrific landlord to the amply supplied kitchen to the well-appointed EVERYTHING, we were most comfortable and lacked for nothing. (And, very importantly, the bed was a gem.) It rarely took us longer than 30 minutes to get to the Duboce Park area of San Francisco (longer in rush hour) and a 10 minute walk from the house was rewarded with views that stretched from the bridges Bay to Golden Gate. A great spot for lap swimming (and water aerobics) was at the Plunge, just 3 blocks away. In someone else's review, they said that after staying here they were motivated to make their own home more welcoming and organized. We feel the same way! Thanks for a great stay! MBN

Our Family had another wonderful stay this past Winter. The cottage always inspires us to make our own home as welcoming and immaculate! Great town, with shops and restaurants all within walking distance. They have not one but two markets, just a throw's stone away. Especially handy if you want to cook at "home". If we could live here forever we would, so in the meantime, we'll just keep coming back! Highly recommended and wonderful owners.

Wonderful stay! Cozy, beautifully maintained, peaceful, within a few blocks of a surprising range of restaurants in a quaint village setting. Plus easy access to all the Bay Area bridges and cities. Could not recommend it more highly.

This is a superb rental. My wife and I stayed 70 nights in an extended grandparent visit. The accommodation exceeded our expectations. There are privacy and quiet in a delightful historic community. It truly felt like home. The Newtons are perfect hosts. Unobtrusive and attentive. The space is immaculately maintained. Two small markets are steps away. A municipal indoor heated swimming pool and toddler playground are nearby. Our grandson loved them. So did I. Easy access to I-580 and I-80 and the great shopping in Emeryville.

My husband and I are travel nurses who managed to find this lovely home because we travel with a dog. Linda and Chris were very accommodating to us. We stayed for about three months here and loved it everyday. The home is filled with everything you could possibly need and one can tell that it was put there with love. The Newtons are a very sweet and friendly couple who made our stay here a pleasure. It's located a hop away from I580 that leads you to anywhere you want to go. Highly recommended.

Can't praise this place enough! Either as a vacation rental or temp corporate housing, this cottage is 5 star class and so is its hostess. My friend and I rented it for a few days in the spring and we were both impressed by the completeness of the kitchen facilities. Our hostess anticipated all our basic needs and exceeded our expectations in several areas. Everything is ship-shape and absolutely brand new. The color schemes are attractive and calming, the desk area is more than ample for two laptops, plus there's plenty of shelf space above if a longer term renter needed a place for books and papers. The mature trees and artistically planted natural garden and brickwork make this a secluded spot, very quiet -- either romantic or simply restful. It is close to the freeway and everything good but in a community that is somewhat eclectic and small town --best of both worlds. I admit I had a few fantasies about staying there forever, living a minimalist lifestyle yet with every modern convenience. There is not a single thing lacking. This is dreamlike convenience and luxury.

My husband and I stayed at this jewel of a place right before Christmas. We loved the charming look and modern amenities of the cottage. The Annex is nestled on a quiet street within walking distance of some really great restaurants. There are a couple of places for breakfast, and the Hotel Mac was great for steak and martinis. The new Pub in town is very lively and fun. With the full kitchen, we could cook a meal with some groceries bought at the corner store and make lemonade from the beautiful lemon tree just outside our window. The bed was very comfortable and the wireless internet worked great. Everything seemed brand new as if we were the first ones to stay there. The Inn Keepers were really neat. Linda is such a nice and informative person and we had some great conversations with her husband Chris. We also met some of the local artisans as we walked around the Village, saw neat little shops, meeting many friendly people along the way. If you can, catch a live show at the local theater, high quality productions in a vintage setting. There aren't any stop lights in this quaint little town and lots of historical architecture surround you. Definitely a haven for the World Traveler or for those that just want a peaceful escape from the Bay Area. The courtyard and garden were very pleasant, and we felt a world away when it's only a few minutes from BART. We didn't want to leave this home away from home. Hands down, the best place to stay in the area.
