I left the review from July 2011. Since that visit, we have been back twice for 6 months (2015 and 2018). Every stay has been wonderful. Everything I said before still stands, but things are even better now. The village of Los Altos has gotten more interesting over the past 7 years. Being walking distance to it is a huge plus. The past two stays our daughter has attended Covington elementary school. I cannot say enough good things about this school. It is about a 15 minute walk from the house on lovely side streets. Our daughter has thrived during her two stints at Covington. We miss the house, we miss the school, and we miss the neighborhood.

I stayed in this property for 6 months during 2017. The furniture is comfortable and the location is outstanding! The property is extremely well maintained by the landlady Judy. There are 3 bedrooms, an office, living room, dining room, kitchen, breakfast area, den, and a nice porch. The cherry on top is that Judy is extremely responsive!

My family absolutely loved spending the summer in this beautiful home. Al and Judy are wonderful folks and did anything and everything to make our stay comfortable and pleasant. The place is walking distance to downtown Los Altos which we did everyday. The backyard was perfect for our 3 little kids and felt like home. We will always remember the wonderful time we had here and we completely recommend this home to others looking for a great place to stay in the bay area.

My husband, 5 year old son and I have loved living in this beautiful and cozy home. We have been here 7 months, and savoured the ideal location, the beautiful gardens and the hospitality and professionalism of Al and Judy. We needed a short term furnished rental, and everything we needed was here. I highly recommend this home, you won't be disappointed.

Heaven on earth! We rented this home in September, 2011 thinking we would be here about three months as we waited for a double lung/heart transplant for my daughter. We needed to be close to Stanford and it was important that we live in a clean home in a peaceful, serene setting. As it turned out, we stayed nearly nine months and truly loved every moment of it. This home is within walking distance of the village of Los Altos so we took advantage of all community happenings. We loved being so close to the Community Center where my grandson thoroughly enjoyed his Kinder Prep program. Also, to be able to walk to the library and the museum was a nice bonus. And of course, the fabulous shopping and wonderful restaurants are all just a few minutes away. This home is quiet, comfortable and cozy. Our agreement included weekly cleaning service and yard care. We brought our clothing and a few creature comforts but everything else was provided. The home is very well stocked. And yes, my daughter is doing wonderfully. Truly a miracle. My husband, 4 year-old daughter, and I stayed here for 6 months while we visted Stanford. It is a fantastic place. The house and yard are beautiful. We brought a few things with us, but the house is well stocked. The location is great. You are a block from the village area of Los Altos, and a few blocks from the library and a park. We often walked into town for dinner or lunch on the weekend, and the library is one of the best I have seen. The best thing is that the owners live next door. They were very prompt with any repair and helpful with any questions we had about the area, but were not at all intrusive. We had a wonderful sabbatical, and most of that was due to the house we chose.
