Vacation rentals to find home in Super Bowl XLV commercial.

HomeAway's Super Bowl ad featuring Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo (aka Clark and Ellen Griswold), a reunion of sorts from the movie, National Lampoon's Vacation. HomeAway owns the popular VRBO.com vacation rental website. HomeAway just announced that it will be doing another Super Bowl ad for Super Bowl XLV. The goal is to bring awareness of vacation rentals as THE hotel alternative. The company says in a press release that last year's “Hotel Hell Vacation” commercial generated a 500 percent increase in visits to its website in the day following the Super Bowl. It also says it experienced one million incremental page views in a 24-hour period. So what will this year's Super Bowl ad bring? HomeAway isn't saying anything except that its commercial will communicate this theme, "Why Hotel when you can HomeAway?"
