Before renting a corporate rental, it's important that you ask the right questions of whoever you're renting from, whether it's directly from the landlord or from a property manager. Here are some questions to get you started: Rates: What does the monthly rate include? Are there special rates for longer stays? Are there other fees I should know about? Location: Is there a local office or on-site contact available round the clock should I need help or have an issue? Services: What additional services do you provide? For example, is there 24 hour maintenance service or on-site gym? Accreditation: (If working with a property management firm) Is the company a Corporate Housing Providers Association (CHPA) member? CHPA is the trade organization for the corporate housing industry and requires specific levels of professionalism and standards. Are the leasing agents Certified Corporate Housing Professionals (CCHP). The CCHP certification means that the corporate housing professional has met clear industry standards. Protection: How are you and your vendors insured? This is especially important when working with management companies who manage properties offered by individual homeowners. Policies: What happens if I don't like the property when I arrive? Are there other options? Good luck!
