We met Jean on a beautiful day in April. We were looking for a furnished place to stay while buying a home in Vancouver. We fell in love with her property and wanted to purchase her house and apartment immediately. We extended our stay to over 3 months and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. We entertained our friends, dining on the covered patio overlooking the Columbia River with city lights and bright starlit skies as background. We even had overnight guests a few times and enjoyed the hot tub on the deck with them. The views day and night are spectacular. Nighttime you see into the city lights clear to the Pearl district. Daytime there is river traffic and airport activity to enjoy. Planes, boats and trains.
Views from inside the apartment are just as good. It is light and comfortable, with fireplaces to make things cozy when it rains. Her yard is huge and tastefully landscaped with flowers and trees and a flowing waterfall to make relaxing evenings so refreshing. Jean is an amazing hostess. We invited her to join us many times to hear her wonderful sailing stories and she is quite a historian of the Vancouver river area. She toured me thru Vancouver to introduce me to shopping, and salons; best of all she taught me mahjong and even took me to play with her friends. We were sad to leave and would recommend it to anyone who wants a place with everything.
When I first met Jean she had a genuine welcoming smile. She invited me into her home and showed me around her beautiful yard before going into my apartment. The property is beautiful, Jean takes great pride in every detail. I have my own outside dining area and sitting area to view the Columbia River and activities up and down the river. The outside space has a hot tub for use any time, a very nice relaxing way the start or end the day. When Jean took me into the apartment I was impressed with detail in woodwork and thoughtful arrangement of traffic flow through the living area. The area is appointed with tasteful color and lots of windows for light and the outside views of the river and the Portland airport into downtown Portland. The lights are wonderful at night while sitting in the living areas. Jean can be a perfect hostess when the time is right and the conversation may go well into the evening. The experience at Jeans home is hard to put into words but to say it was the best living experience I have had in a long time is selling this home short of the real feeling. I recommend looking at this for your next place to live.
Jean has a wonderfully appointed apartment. She really has thought of everything. There are so many nice and practical touches throughout the unit. I can't say enough about this place. I really enjoyed my stay so very much. Jean is a wonderful and thoughtful host. The views from the patio overlooking the Columbia are even better than the photos too! The neighborhood is very peaceful and a nice area to take a morning or evening stroll. I will definitely come back when I'm in the area again. I am missing it already and I've only been gone for just under two weeks. You really can't go wrong here.
