This month The Denver Business Journal recognized
CHBO Founder, Kimberly Smith, with their annual Real Estate Outstanding Women in Business Award. Recognized for her accomplishments, leadership and contributions to the community, Kimberly was honored to be included with such an accomplished group of women.
Kimberly says, "She is a work in progress and still has a lot more to grow as she supports the growth of CHBO and AvenueWest Global Franchise." She is excited to see Corporate Housing become a mainstream extended stay lodging solution.
This is the
Denver Business Journal’s 15th annual Outstanding Women in Business special section.

"We honor 12 women for their accomplishments in the categories of architecture, engineering and construction; banking, finance and accounting; communications, media and public relations; education, government and nonprofits; health care; large business owner; law; Mile High Leaders; real estate; small business owner; technology and telecommunications; and lifetime achievement.
Small businesses are considered those with 15 or fewer employees; large companies are ones with more than 15.
Nominations were taken online at the DBJ website — denverbusinessjournal.com — for more than six months.
Winners from previous years aren’t eligible to win again in the same category. However, finalists can be named in more than one year and in more than one category.
For the lifetime achievement award, past winners in individual categories are eligible. But obviously, a winner of this prestigious award cannot compete again.
Nominees in each category were judged on innovation, entrepreneurship, professional accomplishments and community leadership from the information provided on the nomination form.
Four judges dedicated an enormous amount of time to reviewing and scoring the more than 240 nominations made for 148 individuals."
