You can take several steps to ensure that you are dealing with a legitimate landlord when using CHBO. Firstly, you should always read the listing carefully before contacting a landlord. Secondly, ask for proof of ownership; a legitimate landlord will be able to provide proof of ownership. Finally, always pay through the CHBO platform to ensure that your payment is secure.
Stays of 1-12 months are considered mid-term stays. However, the term mid-term frequently refers to stays of 3-9 months. The property is often furnished, making them an ideal fit for people working or living in an area for more than a few weeks but less than a year.
Property Damage Protection protects homeowners and companies against accidental damages to a rental unit during a guest’s stay. Once a policy is in place for the duration of your guests stay, there is nothing more to worry about and may protect the guests deposit. Find out more details here.
Need to renew the policy?
Please either call the renewal department to renew over the phone at 504.708.2223, email CHBO or chat with our live agents to renew your policy. Save time and don't let the policy lapse or another policy will need to be created.
The utility cost of the rentals is something the owner will either cover in the total rental amount or charge separately. If the listing is marked CHBO complete, the property includes utilities for the renters convenience. However, a utility allowance may be given to help manage overages. Be sure to ask the landlord how the utilities are being handled.
The utility cost for the property can be managed in the edit property mode from the 'info/rental' rates tab.
As the property manager, please check the request review log in your account here, https://www.corporatehousingbyowner.com/dashboard/properties under the reviews column. You can re-request if you still seeing it pending. If not, contact us along with the name and email of the person who posted the review. We will track the review and update you.
Corporate Housing by Owner encourages all property managers to follow the guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in regard to cleaning and disinfecting the rental property. These practices should be performed before every move in and when cleaning maid services is provided. Documentation when these services are performed is a good practice to have in place.

What is CHBO Certified Logo/How do I get CHBO certified logo?
The Platinum package listings will become certified during the process of CHBO doing photgraphy for the listing along with vetting the property manager. The listing and its images on the property page will include the CHBO Certified Logo.
