We had a couple of guests stay at this wonderful property who work for Willie's Icehouse. They mentioned their stay was a great experience and could not ask for a better property manager. They were very flexible and communicated with us with whatever they needed. I strongly recommend this property/community to anyone who is searching for somewhere to stay. Our workers stayed for 3 months, and they loved it!
This property was recommended by THD while our house undergoes reconstruction. We moved in on July 10, 2023 and Jayasr was very sensitive to our needs. On July 12, 2023 we asked the property owner to send someone out to check the AC in the left side bedroom where my daughters slept and it was very hot and uncomfortable. Jayasr schedules HVAC on July 14th and July 19th, both times no one showed up. On July 24, 2023 I inform Jayasr of the sewer smell coming from both bathroom toilets and about the freezer side door of the refrigerator not working properly. The freezer door did not shut all the way causing excess frost build up inside the refrigerator. On July 25th the plumber shows up to prepare an estimate for repairs, no work is done but recommends replacing both toilets. Also on this day Jayasr installed a portable AC window unit only secured by a ruler and some taper in the back bedroom because the AC technician was unable to fix the air flow to the back bedroom. On July 31, 2023 I contacted my insurance agent to request immediate termination of the lease agreement because of lack of safety and security presented by the property owners for my family and moved out promptly. I would not recommend renting this property based upon the condition of the house.
I relocated to the Austin area in December 2023 and needed a place to stay while we looked for a house. My wife and I have a little kid and dog. I knew we wouldn't be happy staying in a hotel for a long-term stay so I found this place on CHBO. I left a message on CHBO and Jaya (Property Owner) contacted me. She told me about her place and I told her about my family. We agreed that her place was perfect. At my request, Jaya even met us in person during a short house hunting trip the month before we moved (Trust by verify kind of thing). Jaya agreed to a month-to-month lease which allowed us to be flexible to find the right house. Our dog was able to run around the big back yard. The house had everything we needed. The temperatures outside fluctuated between cold and hot (December through March). The house stayed at a comfortable temperature even with the temperature swings. There is a middle school and elementary school within 2 minutes. My kid was able to do soccer and martial arts within 10 minutes from the house. Dell Diamond and Kalare (Sp?) were 3 minutes from the house. Safety was never a concern in this area. The Round Rock police presence is a strong deterrent to crime in the area. The location is a great bonus! We did family walks around the neighborhood when the weather was nice. The neighbors didn't bother us and we talked to some of them when they were outside. The location is perfect for great places to eat. We rarely revisited a restaurant because there were so many options. I worked downtown and it never took me more than 30 minutes to get there. I had access to I45, I35, Mopac, and 130 within 5 minutes depending on the direction I went. The house is big for a family our size and can probably fit a family three times our size. We have three cars (One is a full-size truck) and there was plenty of room for them in the two car driveway and two car garage. If we didn't buy a house I would've been happy staying here.
